The Simpsons Top Ten Character List

by

simpsons_desktop_1024x768.jpgThere are hundreds of characters on The Simpsons. Granted, we don’t see every character every episode and some have even died throughout the years. Through 18 seasons we’ve seen quite a lot of weird things and some characters seem to be more special to us than others. Go ahead, wipe that tear from your eye. So, I thought that we would create a Simpsons Top Ten Characters list, complete with our reasoning for each character we choose.

So here is a poll for you to vote for your favorite Simpson character. I will allow voting until tomorrow and then I’ll post the results. Vote for your two characters even though there are 3 polls. Once you vote for your character, use the comments section to tell me why. The best reasoning for each character will be used in the results post.

    What about disco Stu

  2. Anna Says:

Yeah, I could have had a lot of other characters on there, but I had to stop somewhere. Sorry.

  3. Newport tom Says:

All of the characters are seen during every show, they are standing in front of the simpsons house as Marge pulls into the driveway.

  4. casey Says:

i think Marge is sexy, has anyone ever made one of those anime pornos with her..that would be sweet. I also voted for Nelson…who could ever forget this line:

Lisa: “Nelson, I want to know what’s
    inside.”

Nelson: “Guts, some black stuff and about 50 slim jims.”

  5. Tom Bergin Says:

    Comic Book store guy
“that is a very rare photo of Sean Connery autograghed by Roger Moore.Thank you very much.

  6. Kyle Says:

This is stupid…it says Top 10, and I stress 10, yet it only offers 3 POLLS of top characters. Anna, you did a poor job of writing this article. Terrible.

  7. Ian Says:

Homer funny…him make me stare at shiny, glowy, thingy.

  8. Annie Says:

even though I don’t watch the Simpsons as much as I want to, maggie is my all time favorite! She doesn’t say much but I think she’s the smartest one on the show! Even more than Lisa. She rules the house! Homer comes in at a close second though with his love of donuts and idiot humor! woot!

  9. Anna Says:

    In reply to Kyle’s comment:
The program I was using to create the polls only lets a certain amount of variables, so thusly these 3 polls, as I explain in my post, are acting as one poll. The results should be fairly accurate done this way. I never meant to have a separate poll to determine each of the 10. Just one poll, or three combined as one. Get it?

  10. jondola bengali Says:

Homer is the heart of the show, and it upsets me to see that they have relegated his character, and indeed the entire show, to bad sight gags and preachy, heavy-handed political statements. I honestly wish they would stop the show bfore it gets run any further into the ground.

  11. David Says:

“ahhh, that blissful moment right before I remember why I’m sleeping on the lawn.” -Homer J Simpson

  12. Will Work Says:

    Homer…. why, cause scary enough I’m a dad :)
    Moe… cause a bartender is a man’s best friend.

  13. Emma Says:

    These were hard decisions!

I had trouble picking between Homer and Lisa. I like Lisa and share lots of her interests…but I guess overall Homer provides the most entertainment. I would probably rather have lunch with Lisa, but I’ll pick Homer as the best character.

For my second character, I chose Carl. He seems pretty wise and laid-back. I just get a good feeling about him.

    =)

  14. Matt Says:

    Krusty’s a show-biz legend–very cool. A little disappointed Mayor Quimby didn’t make the poll…!

  15. Kris Says:

Very happy Chief Wiggum made the poll–VERY excellent character!
