Poll: Simpsons vs. The Constitution
Sometimes, pollsters think up wacky things. Sometimes, teachers think up wacky assignments. Ken Palmer, in The Flint Journal, reports this alarming bit of news:
About 25 fourth- and fifth-graders at Grand Blanc City School spent part of Monday - Constitution Day - posing those questions to passers-by at several locations in Flint, including college campuses.
Their results? Most people can identify the Simpsons but can’t name all five First Amendment freedoms.
